Lemon Oreo Fudge Recipe

  • Author: Harper
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

This Lemon Oreo Fudge is a delightful no-bake treat that combines creamy white chocolate, zesty lemon extract, and crunchy chopped Lemon Oreos. Perfect for a quick dessert or a sweet snack, this fudge offers a refreshing twist on traditional fudge with a vibrant lemon flavor and colorful appearance thanks to yellow food coloring.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 24 oz white chocolate chips or melting chocolate wafers
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract

Add-ins

  • 2 cups chopped Lemon Oreos
  • A few drops of yellow food coloring

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with waxed paper, ensuring the paper overhangs on two opposite sides to allow for easy removal of the fudge once set.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter.
  3. Initial Melting: Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute. Remove and stir thoroughly to help the residual heat melt the remaining chocolate.
  4. Finish Melting: Continue microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring well after each, until the mixture is completely smooth and fully melted.
  5. Add Flavor and Mix-ins: Stir in the lemon extract, chopped Lemon Oreos, and a few drops of yellow food coloring until evenly combined.
  6. Pour and Press: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Press additional chopped Lemon Oreos on top to decorate and add extra texture.
  7. Set and Serve: Allow the fudge to cool and harden completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before lifting it out using the waxed paper overhang. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use melting chocolate wafers if you prefer smoother melting for the fudge.
  • Adjust lemon extract to taste for a stronger or milder lemon flavor.
  • If the fudge doesn’t set well, refrigerate it for about 1 hour to firm up.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  • For easier removal, the waxed paper lining is key to lifting the fudge out without breaking.
