Ingredients
Scale
Fruit
- 1 bunch of red grapes (about 2 cups)
- 1 bunch of green grapes (about 2 cups)
- 1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 3–4 kiwis, peeled and sliced
- 1 large apple, diced (red or green variety)
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds (optional for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Additional Ingredients
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (to keep the fruit fresh)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Start by washing all your fruits thoroughly. Hull and slice the strawberries, peel and slice the kiwis, and dice the apple. If you’re using pomegranate seeds, remove them from the pomegranate and set them aside. Toss the diced apple with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Arrange the Fruit in a Wreath Shape: Place a large serving platter or round tray on a flat surface. Begin arranging the fruit in a circular, wreath-like shape by starting with a base layer of red and green grapes, then building around it with slices of kiwis, strawberries, and diced apple to create a colorful, festive look.
- Garnish and Sweeten: Drizzle the arranged fruit with honey or maple syrup if using, then sprinkle pomegranate seeds and fresh mint leaves over the top for a pop of color and flavor enhancement.
- Serve: This fruit salad is best served immediately to enjoy fresh textures and vibrant colors. If needed, cover and refrigerate for a few hours before serving, adding the mint leaves and honey drizzle just prior to serving for optimal freshness.
Notes
- Keep the Fruit Fresh: Toss diced apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Use Seasonal Fruits: Choose fruits in season for the best flavor and freshness.
- Assemble Right Before Serving: To preserve texture and colors, prepare the wreath as close to serving time as possible.
- Use a Large Platter: A large serving platter is recommended for arranging the fruit beautifully without overcrowding.
