  • Author: Harper
  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Low Calorie

Description

These 3-Ingredient Frozen Candied Grapes are a refreshing and healthy treat that combines the natural sweetness of green grapes with the tangy zest of lime and the subtle sweetness of monk fruit sweetener. Coated in a light dusting of monk fruit sweetener and optionally citric acid, these candied grapes are frozen to create a delightful icy snack perfect for warm days or a guilt-free dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 4 cups green grapes, cleaned
  • 1 cup Monk Fruit Sweetener (granulated)
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 23 tsp citric acid (optional, or more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking dish and grapes: Cover a large baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Thoroughly clean the green grapes by rinsing them under cold water.
  2. Mix grapes with lime juice: Place the cleaned grapes into a large bowl and add the juice of 2 limes. Stir them together to coat the grapes evenly, then cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Prepare the sweetener mixture: In a medium bowl, mix the granulated monk fruit sweetener with the optional citric acid, adjusting the amount to taste. This mixture will give the grapes their candied coating and a slight tartness.
  4. Coat the grapes: Remove the grapes from the fridge and, one by one, roll each grape thoroughly in the monk fruit sweetener and citric acid mixture, ensuring every grape is fully coated.
  5. Freeze the grapes: Place the coated grapes on the prepared parchment-lined baking dish in a single layer. Transfer the dish to the freezer and freeze the grapes for 2-3 hours until they are fully frozen and candied.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter treat, adjust the monk fruit sweetener quantity to taste before coating.
  • The citric acid is optional but adds a pleasant tartness; use more or less depending on your preference.
  • Use green grapes for the best texture and flavor, but red or black grapes can be substituted if desired.
  • Store leftover frozen candied grapes in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week.
  • Optionally, you can add a pinch of sea salt to the sweetener for a sweet-salty contrast.
